I understand, however, from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis that there was no such arrest in connection with the disturbance at Southall on 3 July, and from the Chief Constable of Merseyside that by 7 July there had been two such arrests arising from the disturbances in Liverpool between 4 and 6 July.
