§ Mr. Trotterasked the Secretary of State for Defence how many VC10 aircraft are being acquired from British Airways; how many are to be modified for use as (a) transport and (b) tankers; and how many are to be used as spares.
§ Mr. GoodhartFourteen VC10s plus a range of spares and spare engines were acquired from British Airways earlier this year. As indicated in paragraph 13 of Cmnd. 8288, plans for further modification of RAF VC10s will depend on the economics of maintaining the present Victor fleet.
