§ Dr. VaughanAdvice to health authorities on the disposal of surplus National Health Services property is contained in the National Health Service handbook on land transactions, a copy of which has been placed in the Library of the House. I have asked authorities to dispose of all property not needed for National Health Service purposes, at market value taking account of any development potential, in accordance with the district valuer's recommendations. They are also asked to consider whether there would be advantage in considering prior offers from bodies providing health or personal social services which would complement the health authorities' services.
