§ The Prime MinisterIn my earlier reply to the hon. Member I used the figure £300 million as an indication of the order of magnitude of Government spending for Merseyside. In fact, the relevant annual programmes for 1981–82 of the three main Departments involved, together with the mainstream capital programmes of the public bodies in Merseyside, should provide well over £300 million in the current financial year.
