Mr. Boothasked the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make the provision of transport supplementary grant to county councils conditional upon their not withdrawing school bus contracts from those bus operators who exercise their rights to operate other services under the trial area provisions of the Transport Act 1980.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeTransport supplementary grant is a block grant. It is for each county to decide how it is used.
