§ Mr. Iain Millsasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether any change will be made to the cash limit of the Manpower Services Commission.
§ Mr. PriorSubject to parliamentary approval of the necessary Supplementary Estimates, the total grant-in-aid to the Manpower Services Commission—MSC—will be534W increased from £752.593 million to £760.093 million. Provisions for the increase will be found from within the planned totals of public expenditure by transferring £1½million from labour market service; the balance will be met from the contingency reserve.
The 7.5 million is required by MSC to meet a further increase in demand for places under the youth opportunities programme. The increase in the total grant-in-aid will require consequential adjustments to other cash limits; viz:
