§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Prime Minister, in view of the fact that national average wage increases are now averaging 10 per cent., whether she will take action to ensure that hon. Members' salaries, and all those covered by the Top Salaries Review Body, are limited to 10 per cent.
§ The Prime MinisterRestraint in all pay increases in the public sector is essential but specific proposals by the Government on hon. Members' salaries and decisions on the pay of the other groups covered by the Top Salaries Review Body must await the relevant reports of the review body.
