§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he intends to issue the regulations under the Education (No. 2) Act concerning the records of schoolchildren; and if the regulations will give parents the right to see the records of their children.
§ Dr. BoysonMy right hon. and learned Friend will shortly be consulting interested bodies on the draft regulations which he proposes to put before the House later in the year. It is not his intention to place a duty on a local education authority to give access to children's educational records to their parents.
