§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what steps he plans to take to ensure that blood supplied by donors through the Blood Transfusion Service is used only within the National Health Service.
§ Dr. VaughanBlood is donated through the national Blood Transfusion Service for use where it is needed. Most of it is used in the National Health Service though small amounts are provided on request to private hospitals and clinics. I see no reason to interfere with this arrangement, which has operated satisfactorily for many years.
