However, at December 1980, the latest date for which information is available, 13,000 people were receiving supplementary benefit from the King's Lynn office, which covers a large geographical area including Wisbech. Figures for November 1978 and November 1976, the most appropriate comparable dates, were 12,500 and 12,100 respectively. The figures are based on a 100 per cent. count of supplementary benefit cases.
