§ Mr. MonroProvision of grant towards gipsy sites is not automatic. I have ensured that all applications are scrutinised to achieve maximum economy before grant approval.
§ Mr. Spellerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether the provision of funds for the construction of transit sites for gypsies is included in the block grant or provided additionally on request form moneys provided by Parliament to the appropriate local authority.

§ Mr. KingFrom 1 April 1981 the provision for capital expenditure on all gipsy sites has been included in the "Other Services" block, which has been allocated to local authorities by their associations.
