§ Mr. KingPartnership funds assist a number of projects designed to improve inner area conditions, and it is not possible to identify the exact proportion devoted to alcoholic counselling or research separately. However, small but significant resources do go on some projects which are mainly concerned with supporting alcoholics. I am always willing to consider cost-effective projects partnerships put forward which will have an impact on the area, especially if these can involve the voluntary sector. Wherever possible partnership resources should be devoted to capital expenditure on facilities, with continuing revenue costs being met from other sources.
