§ Mr. Peter Robinsonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what have been the results of the negotiations with officials of the Government of the Republic of Ireland with the aim of preventing interference with UHF television coverage as a result of the proposed increase of power of the Carlingford transmitter at Cleremont Carn.
§ Mr. MayhewThe Government of the Republic fully accept that the power transmitted from the Claremont Carn transmitting station in the direction of Northern Ireland should be restricted to protect the development of the United Kingdom UHF television network there. Technical means for achieving this are still under discussion.
