§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will detail the additional benefits accruing to United Kingdom nationals travelling in European countries from the agreement adopted on 17 October at the International Labour Office; and if he will make a statement.
§ Dr. VaughanThe United Kingdom is considering the final text of the agreement adopted by the International Labour Office. Under existing bilateral agreements and European Community regulations, United Kingdom travellers are already covered for immediately necessary treatment arising in most European countries. Ratification of the International Labour Office agreement might lead to agreements with some of the five remaining European countries not included in such agreements.
