§ Mr. Frank Allaunasked the Secretary of State for Defence if there has been any change of policy since 7 November 1980 when the then Secretary of State for Defence said that the United Kingdom had no plans to acquire chemical weapons or to place chemical weapons in the United Kingdom; and if so, whether he will describe the circumstances which have led to this change.
