§ Mr. Michael McNair-Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for Energy what information Her Majesty's 496W Government have recently sent to the Commission about the United Kingdom's energy policy programme up to 1990.
§ Mr. David HowellIt was agreed at the Council of Energy Ministers in May 1980 that member States would 497W submit to the Commission each year details of their energy policy programme up to 1990 so that the Commission could assess these programmes in the light of the Community's energy policy guidelines for 1990. The Commission recently sent a request to member States for answers to four questionnaires about their national energy programmes. I have placed in the Libraries of both Houses a copy of the United Kingdom Government's reply recently sent to the Commission.
