asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the longest period of time that a prisoner currently in Walton prison has been on remand in custody.

[pursuant to the reply, 12 December 1980]: The longest period for which any person held on remand in custody in Liverpool prison on 31 October 1980 had been so held, was 15 days.
