asked the Secretary of State for Industry what progress is being made by the National Enterprise Board in disposing of its assets; and if he will make a statement.

Since this Administration came into office the NEB has sold its holdings in 10 companies for a total of £120 million. It remains our policy that the board should dispose of its shareholdings as soon as commercially practicable.
