HC Deb 12 January 1981 vol 996 c482W
Mr. Skinner

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science how many disabled 16 to 18-year-olds receive grants from the county of Derbyshire to pursue job training skills.

Dr. Boyson

The special services department of the Derbyshire local authority supports 29 disabled 16 to 18-year-olds taking courses of further education and/or vocational skills at residential colleges. In addition, fees and travel expenses are paid for a number of disabled young people on work-orientation courses.
