§ Mrs. ChalkerThe Manpower Services Commission operates the job search scheme which can, in certain circumstances, provide assistance to school leavers and other unemployed people to travel to a pre-arranged interview or to look for work in another part of the country. Where there is entitlement to weekly supplementary benefit, help can be given, in specified circumstances, with fares to interviews or to seek work, including overnight lodging where appropriate; fares on starting work; and clothing, basic tools and so on which are prerequisites of taking a job.
