§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithNo decision has yet been taken on when the North Sea herring fishery can be allowed to reopen. Whether any restrictions on catching methods will need to be applied to this fishery when it does reopen will depend to a considerable extent on the permissible size of the fishery.
