Following the discussions which my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment and the Minister for Local Government and Environmental Services have had with the chairmen of the individual water authorities, in the light of the review, water authorities have been considering their rating levels, and we are pleased to note that they have all proposed significant reductions over those originally envisaged.
