§ Mr. Spellerasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will seek to relax the planning rules relating to the building of additional houses on any farm where this is required as family accommodation, particularly on the retirement of the fanner and the hand-over to the next generation.
§ Mr. Giles ShawStrict policies are needed to protect agricultural land, but family circumstances may be taken into account in appropriate circumstances. The policy is set out in the annex to DOE circular 24/73. I shall send my hon. Friend a copy.
