§ Mr. Peter MorrisonAn age analysis of the numbers registered as unemployed is made in January, April, July and October. In the Hammersmith employment office area, which includes the Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush areas, there were 239 people aged under 18 years registered as unemployed at January 1979. The corresponding figure at January 1981 was 378.
The hon. Member will know that last November my right hon. Friend announced a major expansion of the youth opportunities programme to help unemployed young people.
