§ Mr. Ashleyasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he has reconsidered his policy towards the proposed code of marketing on baby foods since his written comments on the second draft put forward by the executive board of the World Health Organisation.

§ Dr. VaughanThe draft code of marketing of breastmilk substitutes has undergone two further revisions since the World Health Organisation sought the United Kingdom Government's observations in June 1980. We are now examining the version of the code which was discussed by the executive board and will have an opportunity to put forward our comments at the World Health Assembly in May.
§ Mr. Ashleyasked the Secretary of State for the Social Services if he proposes to have further consultations with the baby food industry and non-Government organisations before the British delegation attends the World Health Assembly meeting in May.
§ Dr. VaughanThere are no plans for such consultations. We shall, however, continue to take account of all views put to us before briefing the United Kingdom's delegation to the World Health Assembly.
