§ Mr. Peter ReesThe cost of administering value added tax in the financial year which ended on 31 March 1979 was some £93.2 million, and the revenue collected was £4,837.5 million. The cost for the year ended 31 March 1980 was some £103.8 million, and the revenue collected £8,189.3 million.
