§ Dr. BoysonIn 1978–79 it is estimated that some 16,000 full-time and sandwich students in universities or on advanced courses at maintained, assisted or grant-aided establishments in the United Kingdom (excluding overseas students and post-graduates) were supported neither by local education authorities, the Scottish Education Department nor education and library boards in Northern Ireland.
