§ Mr. ParkinsonThe Government are consulting widely about the specific provisions it will be seeking in any successor to the current multi-fibre arrangement. In general, the Government believes an effective successor arrangement will be necessary and we propose to negotiate, through the Community and the GATT, the best possible deal we can obtain taking account of British interests as a whole.
