Mr. Denis Hovvellasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what conclusions he has reached about the need for a dog warden service as proposed by the local authority associations, the joint advisory committee on pets in society and other organisations; whether he will take steps to enable such a service to be established or improved; and what financial assistance he will make available for this purpose.
