asked the Secretary of State for Trade (1) how many tumble driers originating from Australia have been imported into the United Kingdom during the last year;

(2) how many tumble driers have been exported to Australia during the last 12 months.

One non-centrifugal textile dryer was exported to Australia from the United Kingdom in 1980. 496 non-centrifugal clothes dryers of Australian origin were imported into the United Kingdom from Australia in the same period.
