§ Mr. Michael RobertsIt is for local education authorities to provide for in-service training appropriate to their needs and the needs of teachers. It has been our policy to ensure that suitable courses and places are available at Trinity College, Carmarthen and Bangor normal college to meet the demand for training for Welsh-speaking teachers. In addition, under section 21 of the Education Act 1980, grants of £101,740 have been made this year to support specific proposals by local education authorities for in-service training.
