asked the Secretary of State for Wales what is the total capital expenditure allocation to each local authority in Wales for 1981–82; and what was the total expenditure allocation for each year from 1970 to 1981.

The capital expenditure controls under part VIII of the Local Government Planning and Land Act 1980 comes into effect for the first time on 1 April 1981. No equivalent capital allocations have been made in previous years.
