§ Mr. MayhewUnder section 48 of the Criminal Law Act 1977, rules of court may be made for the advance disclosure of the prosecution case in proceedings in magistrates' courts. The resource implications of such a requirement are under examination. At this stage, attention is focused on cases triable either way.
