§ Mr. Blackburnasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will make a statement on progress to date in the setting up of regional resource centres for the servicing of computer software requirements in schools.
§ Mr. MacfarlaneIt is proposed to establish a network of pilot information centres serving teachers in groups of local education authorities as part of the microelectronics in education programme in 1981–82–1983–84. The local authority associations have been consulted and the director of the programme will shortly begin discussions with individual local education authorities.
