§ Mr. Peter MorrisonAt 15 January 1981, the provisional numbers of unemployed school leavers under 18 years of age and of all unemployed in the Merseyside special development area were 6,061 and 109,483, respectively. The corresponding figures at 10 May 1979 were 4,051 and 83,371. The figures are not adjusted for seasonal variations. There is no area defined as the Merseyside travel-to-work area.
