§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithI have no evidence which suggests that world food production is declining. Total world food production has risen steadily in recent years. In the United Kingdom we have encouraged a higher level of self-sufficiency in food production and will continue to do so. The level has improved significantly in recent years.
