§ Mr. WaddingtonI am not aware that any new closed shop agreements between employers and unions have been concluded since the relevant provisions of the Employment Act were brought into operation on 15 August 1980. I regret that I cannot estimate the number of employees who, after the passing of the Act, might have joined a union in accordance with a closed shop agreement concluded before the Act took effect.
