§ Mr. HurdThe Government have received representations from the Prime Ministers of Mauritius and Fiji and from the High Commissioner of Guyana. The United Kingdom is committed to ensuring that the European Community's obligations under the sugar protocol to the Lomé convention are fulfilled. These obligations are not altered by the closure of the Tate and Lyle cane sugar refinery in Liverpool.
