§ Mr. Michael Brownasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what progress he can report on the establishment of enterprise zones.
§ Mr. KingSix enterprise zones have been announced in England and we shall be making a further statement in the next few days. In the case of Salford/Trafford, Dudley and Corby, the statutory procedures that lead to designation have already begun. Zones have also been annouced for Clydebank, Belfast and Swansea. In Swansea also the statutory procedures have begun.
