The submission to which I referred is the 10-year electrification programme and new plans for the commercial businesses requested by my predecessor on 22 June. But I did not mean that this submission was required before I made a decision on the Anglia electrification proposals.

I have now announced my approval of the electrification of rail services between Colchester, Norwich and Harwich.
