Gentleman to the reply I gave to his question on 27 October.—[Vol. 10, c. 332.] There has been an encouraging increase in slaying on in full-time education generally. As noted in the White Paper "A New Training Initiative: A Programme for Action, Cmnd. 8455, published last week, the Government intend to secure development of a new pre-vocational qualification for young people aged 17-plus in schools and colleges This will be a useful addition to the existing range of provision and will appeal to many young people.
