§ Mr. RifkindThe Countryside Act 1968 does not apply to Scotland. A comparable statutory requirement in respect of Scotland is, however, placed upon the commissioners by section 66 of the Countryside (Scotland) Act 1967. Since the commissioners must comply with that requirement, a direction under section 1 of the 1961 Act would be inappropriate.
