§ 27. Mr. Patrick McNair-Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will give details of the number of, and locations of, the pending planning applications for onshore oil exploration in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Giles ShawI regret that this information is not collected centrally. The registers of planning applications held by local planning authorities would provide details of planning applications which have been submitted for onshore oil exploration in any particular area, but only the oil companies could provide information on applications pending but not yet submitted.
