§ The Prime MinisterI had a most constructive meeting with representatives of the staff side of the Nurses and Midwives Whitley Council on Friday 18 December about developing more satisfactory long term arrangements for nurses' and midvives' pay. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services will now have a meeting with both sides of the Whitley Council in January.
