§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsMy Industry Department has discussed the matter with the company. In its programme to progressively reduce total employment at Caernarvon and its much larger Chapel en le Frith factory by a total of 400, the company is looking to minimise compulsory redundancies and to the extent that these are unavoidable it is understood that they should not fall disproportionately heavily on the Caernarvon factory.
