§ Mr. SproatNo authorisation from the Secretary of State is required. However, the Jersey authorities have asked the Secretary of State to use his power of direction to prevent Britannia Airways from operating flights from 279W Gatwick to Jersey. This submission is under consideration and it would not be appropriate for me to comment further at this stage.
