§ The Prime MinisterNo, but good progress is being made in Departments on this, as part of the action to carry out the Government's policies for good management in the Civil Service, outlined in the White Paper on efficiency—Cmnd. 8293.I expect further important advances to be made next year, not least as a result of two of the centrally co-ordinated programmes of work in the efficiency strategy for 1982 announced by my right hon. and noble Friend the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster on 9 December.
