§ Mr. WhitelawI expect to have a wide range of consultations in the coming months about implementing Lord Scarman's recommendations. I met the chairmen of the police committees of the metropolitan areas on 9 December and my Department will be visiting individual police authorities to discuss Lord Scarman's recommendations on local consultation.
