§ Mr. Farrasked the Secretary of State for Trade if he proposes to introduce legislation to put into effect the recommendations of the Monopolies and Mergers Commission that the practice of credit card companies in not permitting retailers to make a charge for credit card transactions should be made illegal.
§ Mr. Spellerasked the Secretary of State for Trade if he is now prepared to accept the Monopolies and Mergers Commission report on credit cards and allow petrol retailers to charge a supplement on sales equivalent to the percentage on sales charged by the credit card companies.
