§ Sir Brandon Rhys Williamsasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what would be the net cost of equalising the normal pension age at 65 years for both men and women, allowing half pensions combined with part-time work from age 60 to 65 years, taking into account the savings on supplementary and unemployment benefits and the revenues from income tax and national insurance contribution on the part-time earnings; and what would be the gross cost.
